许秀中

许秀中(英語:Vicky Xiuzhong Xu,1994年[1],是一位中国出生的澳洲籍记者及作家。以调查中国政府侵犯人权的报导闻名[2][3][4][5]。大学毕业后,她曾为《纽约时报》在北京、墨尔本和雪梨撰写报导。 2020 年,许秀中发表了《待售的维吾尔人》 (Uyghurs for sale[6])报告,指出许多来自新疆的维吾尔人被强迫送到中国内陆工作[2][7]。这篇报导被澳洲、美国、和欧洲的媒体、立法机构和司法机构广泛引用[8][9][10][11][12]

许秀中就读于嘉峪关市酒泉钢铁公司第三中学[20]。 2012 年,许秀中开始就读北京中国传媒大学[2][21]。 2014 年,许秀中在自己的空档年(Gap Year)前往珀斯,在一所高中教中文。那时,她是中共的支持者[22]。但在看过 CNN 记者 Mike Chinoy 以 1989 年天安门广场抗议和屠杀为题的纪录片后,她开始质疑自己对中国的看法[2][23]

墨爾本和耶路撒冷

许秀中放弃了在北京的学业,进入墨尔本大学政治系就读,有一学期以交换学生身份在耶路撒冷希伯来大学促进和平研究所度过[24]。那时,许秀中公开支持中共[2][25]。但因为作业采访中国异议人士吴乐宝后,她重新反省自己过去的立场[2]

职业生涯

离开中国后,许秀中在澳洲和美国的媒体工作,并在雪梨表演喜剧脱口秀。近年,她还担任澳洲战略政策研究所的政策分析师[2][3][4]。同时为《纽约时报》在北京[26]和雪梨担任自由撰稿人[27][28]

打壓和騷擾

2019 年,许秀中和她的家人都不断受到骚扰,有人要求流放她的父亲为女儿的不当言论负责[5],如今她与父亲的关系以疏远。当她想探望她濒死的祖母时,她被警告不准返回中国。 2021 年,有人编造故事,宣称「曝光了她的私生活」[42]
