SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos IV Epiphanes. 175-164 BC. Æ Tetrachalkon (24mm, 15.37 g, 1h). Seleukeia on the Tigris mint. Struck circa 173/2–164 BC. Radiate and diademed head right; monogram (mark of value) to left / BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANTIO[XOY], goddess, wearing polos and holding Nike in extended right hand, seated left on throne; at feet to left, bird standing left. SC 1508; ESM p. 272; HGC 9, 635; CSE 982–3. Near EF, even dark brown surfaces. Exceptional for issue.
