依2016年Deepfin《硬骨鱼支序分类法》第4版，本亚群包含4个目^[1]：

过去，鼠鱚目（Gonorynchiformes）曾被视为鲑形目的近亲而归类于原棘鳍类，但现在的研究显示鼠鱚目更接近鲤形目，属于的骨鲱群骨鳔亚群，与本亚群的关系相对疏远。
