橋腦(拉丁语: Pons)是腦幹的一部分,在人和兩足動物位於中腦下方、延腦上方、小腦前方。
結構
橋腦在延腦的上方和小腦前方,它位於延髓与中脑的大脑脚之間,前后缘有横沟为界;外形呈白色弓状的横隆凸;内部有大量的横走的神经纤维,连接左、右小脑半球,并有许多纵走的神经纤维束,联系端脑、间脑、中脑、延髓和脊髓,在神经纤维束之间有许多神经核。
功能
橋腦對於睡眠具有調節和控制的作用,也是小腦與其他腦區的聯絡橋樑。
