生平
米基·柯恩出生于1913年9月4日，是居住在布鲁克林正统的犹太人家庭。他的母亲范妮，来自基辅，是乌克兰移民。在6岁的时，米基开始兜售报纸。之后全家移居到洛杉矶。
1929年，米基·柯恩搬到克利夫兰接受职业拳击手训练。他的第一场职业拳击比赛是在1930年4月8日。之后米基·柯恩来到芝加哥，替芝加哥犯罪集团赌博。
