尼日利亞警察部隊（Nigeria Police Force）是尼日利亞的主要執法部門和安全機構。根據1999年憲法，該機構指定為尼日利亞的國家警察，在全國擁有專屬管轄權，[2]截至2016年，該部門職員數約為371,800人。[3]目前，已有計劃擴員至650,000人。尼日利亞警察部隊組織結構龐大，17個警區和8個行政機構下轄36個州指揮部和聯邦首都直轄區（FCT）。[4]該機構目前由警察總監烏斯曼·阿爾卡利·巴巴（Usman Alkali Baba）領導。2020年，該機構經歷了大規模改組。[5]
解散有爭議的特別反搶劫行動隊
2020年10月4日，警察總長穆罕默德·阿達姆（Muhammed Adamu）宣布，聯邦特別反搶劫行動隊（FSARS）和其他戰術行動隊必須「立即」停止包括交通檢查在內的行動。[6]10月11日，在停止運作後的一周，阿達姆解散了特別反搶劫行動隊（SARS）。[7]2020年10月22日，尼日利亞總統穆罕默杜·布哈里在公開講話中證實，尼日利亞備受爭議的特別反搶劫行動隊已被解散，並指責部分SARS成員在日常行動中「過度使用武力」。[8]針對部分前行動隊成員所犯下的敲詐、強姦和謀殺等罪行，已有計劃對其發起起訴。[9][10]尼日利亞警察部隊的反搶劫行動隊解散後，又成立了新的戰術行動隊（SWAT）。
