1966年塔什干地震（俄語：Ташкентское землетрясение）是指1966年4月26日05:23蘇聯烏茲別克蘇維埃社會主義共和國塔什干的地震。^[2]^[3]震級5.1級，震央位於塔什干市中心^[4]，深度3—8公里（1.9—5.0英里）。地震導致塔什干80%建築物倒塌^[5]，塔什干老城超過一半建築物倒塌^[6]，15-200人死亡，78,000^[7]至95,000^[8]住宅被毀，300,000人無家可歸。塔什干市按照蘇維埃風格重建。^[9]^[10]蘇聯調派大量人力物力支援重建。^[11]^[12]蘇聯政府設立地震研究所以預報地震。^[13]地震也增加了人群的宗教信仰。^[14]

1976年地震犧牲者紀念碑在震央建成。^[2]

背景

塔什干處於地震活動區。1914年至1966年發生了74次3至6級地震。^[15]1866與1886年兩次地震嚴重損毀了塔什干。^[16]
