PubMed Central（PMC）是一個免費的數位圖書館、數據庫和文檔庫，用於存檔已在生物醫學和生命科學期刊上發表的開放獲取學術論文。PubMed Central由美國國家生物技術信息中心開發[1]。
PubMed Central與PubMed不同。[2]PubMed Central是一個免費的論文數據庫，任何人都可以通過網絡瀏覽器從任何地方訪問PubMed Central和閱讀論文全文。相反 PubMed只提供生物醫學領域的論文引文和摘要，論文全文並不在PubMed上，用戶需要在PubMed以外的地方獲取論文全文，而這些地方有可能付費才能閱覽。
