紋鷦鶯（中國大陸、香港作紋鷦鶯，台灣作縱紋短翅鶯，學名：Scotocerca inquieta），是屬於雀形目紋鷦鶯科的鳥類，也是該科的唯一一種。[2]也有一些學者將紅鶲科及樹鶯科併入該科，因此使該科包含約35個物種。[3]
紋鷦鶯體重約8.2克，翼長約49.2毫米，嘴峰長約12毫米，喙寬度約2.1毫米，喙厚度約2.4毫米，跗蹠長約19.2毫米，尾長約50.5毫米。紋鷦鶯在其分佈區內為留鳥，其棲息在半開放的中等高度的林地中，食性為肉食性，主要食物來源是陸生無脊椎動物。[4]
