WT.Social，又稱WikiTribune Social,是一種社交網絡服務，用戶可以在該服務上創建「子Wiki」。它由維基百科聯合創始人吉米·威爾斯，以作為Facebook和Twitter的替代產品[1]。該服務不包含任何廣告，並且依賴捐款。截至2019年11月中旬，它擁有超過20萬名用戶[2]。
歷史
吉米·威爾士創立了WT.Social（最初格式為 "WT:Social"）[2]。WT.Social允許用戶與「子維基」中的其他用戶共享指向新聞站點的連結。與它的前身（WikiTribune）不同，WT.Social並未進行眾籌以「控制成本」[3]。2019年10月，威爾斯啟動了該網站。新用戶註冊後，他們將與其他數千名用戶一起進入等待名單。要跳過該列表並訪問該網站，用戶必須捐款或與朋友共享連結[4]。到11月6日，該網站擁有25,000個用戶。[3]到11月中旬，網站宣稱已有20萬用戶[2]。
軟件
在發佈之初，WT.Social的定位為專有軟件而非像Mastodon的自由軟件[5]。但是，截至2019年11月7日，威爾斯表示他剛剛了解了ActivityPub並且正在研究它[6]。後來，威爾斯表示未來該代碼將來會在GPLv3下發佈[5]。
它使用Matomo進行網站分析。

Sounds interesting. Reading! Not likely to do anything like this soon as we are underfunded and just getting going. But it sounds interesting! [...] Ok. I am always interested in decentralization as a principle. I don't know of anything I could actually use in this case though. [...] Also, to be clear, I'm not being dismissive. I'm reading up on ActivityPub to see if there's a way to support it natively. If real tools are being built that I can interoperate with, that's a clear win all around.
