北部蛇颈龟，又可称为皱面长颈龟、北部长颈龟、扁头长颈龟、扁头蛇颈龟是分布于澳洲北部，新几内亚南部和皮特凯恩群岛的蛇颈龟品种，最大甲长40cm。
牠们是食肉性龟类，以鱼、蝌蚪、两栖类、其他龟种的幼龟，甲壳类、蠕虫和昆虫为食。牠们不是侵略性的龟种，遇到侵扰多数选择游走而不是反撃。
牠们不只生活在淡水中，在新几内亚南部也可在咸水环境中发现牠们。北部蛇颈龟喜欢把自己藏身在泥底和岩石以伏撃猎物。
与人类的关系
澳洲土著以北部蛇颈龟为其中一种食物。
在人工饲养时，因颈部长故须要空间较大水量较多的缸以便游泳。成体可以人工饲料为主食，但幼体多以活饵为主食、较难接受人工饲料。
