RISC OS (发音: /rɪskoʊˈɛs/)[4] 是给ARM架构的系统设计的一系列基于图形用户界面的电脑操作系统。它的名字来源于它所支持的精简指令集RISC 架构。 这个OS原本是被艾康电脑(Acorn Computers)公司开发,用于他们的1987的Archimedes个人电脑,该个人电脑使用的是Acorn RISC Machine处理器。它是由命令行界面和桌面环境组成的视窗系统。
最新的稳定版本运行在 ARMv3/ARMv4 RiscPC[5](或根据仿真通过VirtualAcorn或RPCEmu),ARMv5的Iyonix[6]和ARMv7的Cortex-A8处理器[7][8] (如使用的BeagleBoard和Touch Book)。在2011年,一个移植的Cortex-A9 PandaBoard已宣布[9]和树莓派在公众场合露面的开发版本可免费下载的候选发布版已跟进[10][11][12],这版本已免费提供树莓派用户。[13]
2018年10月,RISC OS在Apache 2.0许可证下开源[14]。

The port developed by Jeffrey Lee is a breakthrough for the shared-source project because it has ported the OS without an army of engineers.
