资讯及通讯技术

资讯及通讯技术或资讯通讯科技（英语：Information and Communications Technology，英文缩写ICT）是资讯科技及通讯技术的合称。[1] 以往通讯技术与资讯科技是两个完全不同的范畴：通讯技术着重于消息传播的发送技术，而资讯科技则着重于资讯的编码或解码，以及在通讯载体上的传输方式。随着技术的发展，这两种技术慢慢变得密不可分，从而渐渐融合成为一个范畴。[2][3]
资讯科技是主要用于管理和处理资讯所采用的各种技术总称。它主要是应用电脑科学和通讯技术来设计、开发、安装和实施资讯系统及应用软件。[4]
通讯技术主要包含传输接入、网络交换、移动通信、无线通讯、光通讯、卫星通讯、支撑管理、专网通讯等技术，现在热门的技术有5G、LTE、IPTV、VoIP、NGN和IMS。
教育应用
信息和通信技术（Information and Communication Technology）是香港新高中学制的其中一个科目，前身是会考电脑与资讯科技科（Computer and Information Technology）。[5]
