米歇爾·渥克（Michele M. Wucker，1969年—）是一位美國作家、評論員和政策分析師，她的研究領域是世界經濟以及危機預測。她是《灰犀牛：如何應對大概率危機》（The Gray Rhino: How to Recognize and Act on the Obvious Dangers We Ignore）一書的作者 [1]。
生平
米歇爾·渥克擁有美國、比利時和奧地利斯拉夫血統， [2] 她居住在伊利諾州芝加哥。
她擁有萊斯大學的法語和政策研究學士學位以及哥倫比亞大學國際和公共事務學院國際事務碩士學位。
1990年時她是Milwaukee Sentinel [3]的記者，她當時主要報道涉及西班牙裔社區的新聞。2000年至2001年時，她是國際金融評論（International Financing Review）拉丁美洲分社社長和IFR Latin America的編輯。 [4]2010年出任世界政策研究所（World Policy Institute）所長[5]。
2014年8月，米歇爾·渥克離開世界政策研究所並加入芝加哥全球事務委員會。[6] 2015年，她又離開了芝加哥全球事務委員會並創立了Gray Rhino & Company。[7]

灰犀牛
米歇爾·渥克於2013年1月在達沃斯舉行的世界經濟論壇上提出了「灰犀牛」一詞[9]與納西姆·尼可拉斯·塔雷伯提出的黑天鵝理論不同，灰犀牛[10]是指極有可能發生、會產生很大影響但會被人們忽視的威脅。 [11]2017年7月17日，人民日報發表的社論中同樣提到了這個詞[12]。
