艾伦·麦克法兰（英語：Alan Donald James Macfarlane, 1941年12月20日—）是一位英国人类学家和历史学家。[1]皇家历史学会、人类学会会士。

生平

1941年出生于英属印度的一个英国茶种植园的家庭，毕业于龙学校，1963年毕业于牛津大学伍斯特学院，1967年凭借论文'Witchcraft prosecutions in Essex, 1560–1680: A Sociological Analysis （页面存档备份，存于互联网档案馆）'获得哲学博士，1968年凭借论文'The regulation of marital and sexual relationships in 17th century England'获得伦敦政治经济学院人类学硕士学位，1972年凭借论文'Population and resources in central Nepal'获得伦敦大学亚非学院博士学位。[2]之后任职于剑桥大学国王学院，1991年升任为正教授，2009年成为终身荣誉教授。[3]
