印度象（Elephas maximus indicus）是亞洲象的亞種之一，生活在亞洲大陸上。自1986年以來被IUCN列爲瀕危物種^[1]。雖然叫做印度象，但實際其分佈範圍還包括泰國等東南亞國家及中國。^[2]

特徵

它體型比非洲象要小^[3]，其肩部高度在2—3.5公尺（6.6—11.5英尺）之間，重量在2,000—5,000公斤（4,400—11,000英磅）之間。雌性通常小於雄性，有的雌性擁有較短的象牙^[4]。

印度象主要分布於印度、泰國、中國等國家。

自1986年以來，印度象就被國際自然保護聯盟列為瀕危物種。
