圖示為2007年的一次驕傲遊行 ，其中的LGBT 群體，研究者命名為「非異性戀」。[1] 非異性戀 （英語：Non-heterosexual ）是一個雨傘術語 （即集合性術語），可以用來描述同性戀 、雙性戀 、泛性戀 以及其他不再被認為是異性戀 的人。[2] [3] [4] 女權主義 和性別研究 領域，也在學術作品中用來區分性取向 ，而使用它可以有多種理解。[5] [6] [7] [8] 酷兒 (queer)很類似，只不過沒有後者的政治寓意，顯得更有學術氣息。「酷兒」一詞一般是指不合社會常規且非異性戀。[9] [10] [11]
在台灣，非異性戀亦被稱作同志 。
一些觀點認為該術語富於爭議且充滿輕蔑以為，因為它「給不符合異性戀常規的人貼上標籤，因此強化了異性戀霸權 」。[12] [13] [14] 跨性別者 與雙性人 ，因為跨性別者與雙性人中也有異性戀者。而無性戀 與有性戀 則是另一個光譜，取決於是否受到他人性吸引 ，一個無性戀者也有可能有情感上的性傾向。
