英文維基社群為COVID-19疫情製作特別公告，在首頁「置頂」

英文維基百科社群十分罕見地決定把新興冠狀病毒COVID-19疫情的相關條目「置頂」在首頁的新聞動態版面。這個題為「冠狀病毒大流行」的版塊下面還分有「疾病」「病毒」「時間線」「各地區」「影響」五個鏈接。

維基百科社群普遍對此類變動十分保守。一位英文維基編者說，在他過去13年的編輯生涯中，從未看見像這樣的公告出現在首頁上。

美媒：俄羅斯網軍從維基百科裡找素材

《紐約時報》日前報道，俄羅斯網軍為了干預美國2020年總統大選而註冊了成批的臉書（Facebook）帳號，發表支持特朗普的言論。《紐約時報》說，俄羅斯網軍操控的臉書機器人為了躲過臉書公司對俄羅斯網軍的反制措施，開始從英文維基百科裡複製粘貼文本，添加到自己在臉書上的貼文中。

瑞士政府直接用維基百科上的新冠病毒死亡數據

【北京4月3日電】據瑞士「共和國」（Republik）新聞網報道，瑞士聯邦公共衛生局在面對突如其來的新型冠狀病毒COVID-19疫情時，難以收集匯總各方數據，便索性採用維基百科上記錄的新冠病毒死亡人數作為官方發布的統計數字。

「共和國」新聞網跟數個瑞士聯邦公共衛生局的信源確認，瑞士政府早前公布的官方死亡數據是從維基百科以及其他外界媒體報道得來的。這一現象直到3月下旬才得到改善。因為瑞士政府自己的數據匯報體系難以工作，瑞士政府才不得不依賴維基百科這樣的渠道來獲取數據。「共和國」新聞網援引信源說，他們發現在維基百科上，不同的編者會根據媒體報道等來源，把來自瑞士聯邦各州的死亡人數手動計算在一起。

「共和國」新聞網報道說，瑞士國內的新冠疫情匯報體系混亂不堪，很多情況下甚至需要手填紙質表格，然後用傳真發信。

由於原主編無暇等種種原因，《維基人》一度停刊五、六年之久，但我們從未放棄打造自由維基社群刊物的理想。在許多人的努力下，即日起，《維基人》正式復刊，與各位朋友們再相見；最新一期的站內版本已經上線，而PDF版本預定將於今年5月1日釋出。此回，我們不僅致力於在促進讀者對於維基的了解中展拓參與維基的群體，更着眼於打造一本對維基人來說可讀、可用、可親的刊物。我們不僅貢獻自己的綿薄之力，亦佇候大家的投稿。我們也希望在諸位維基人的才智的澆灌中，《維基人》能夠名書竹帛，垂範百世。

過去一個月（2020年3月21日至2020年4月17日）內，中文維基百科內外之重要人事及政策變動大致如下，個別項目基本依變動或施行時間先後排序：

方針與指引重要變動：重大的方針與指引修訂。過去一個月內，互助客棧方針區共有新提案16項，另有3項提案獲得通過：

1. 《快速刪除方針》：修訂〈條目〉一節，調整A5準則條文內容，允許與其他現有條目內容非常相似的條目符合A5款。（討論記錄）
2. 《避免地域中心》：修訂〈非官方機構及國際活動〉一節，在不牽涉臺灣的情況下，允許在與香港、澳門作非政治性用途對比時使用「中國大陸」一詞。（討論記錄）
3. 《COVID-19條目共識》：依據社群討論結果，正式訂立2019冠狀病毒病（COVID-19）相關條目共識指引，避免在相關條目發生編輯戰時遭到管理員全保護處理。（討論記錄）

• Tool of the week
  • zotkat's exporter for Zotero (a software to manage bibliographic data) allows you to export bibliographies to the QuickStatements format. It is helpful to easily create bibliographical entries, especially as Zotero can read metadata about works from dozens of other websites, and can thus be used as intermediary.

  • Wikidata now includes more than seven million people (it has doubled since July 2017), also: project chat discussion
  • Nobelprize.org has now redesigned its website so that Wikipedia can link to it easier using the Wikidata Property Nobel Laureate API ID (P8024) (more information)
  • The use of Listeria to generate basic charts (pie, area, line, bar) with d:Template:Graph:Chart, see d:Template:Wikidata list#Charts
