陛下之52號潛艇（德語：SM U 52^{[註 1]}）是德意志帝國海軍建造的一艘潛艇或稱U艇。它由基爾的日耳曼尼亞船廠承建，於1915年12月8日下水，至1916年3月16日交付使用（英語：Ship commissioning）。U-52號是在第一次世界大戰期間服役的329艘德國潛艇之一，參加過大西洋和地中海潛艇戰（英語：Mediterranean U-boat campaign of World War I）。在其四次巡邏中，共擊沉協約國或中立國的26艘商船（容積總噸為69444噸）、3艘軍艦（排水總量為18471噸）以及3艘輔助軍艦（1091總噸）。戰後，U-52號於1918年11月21日被引渡至英國正式投降，並於1919年在斯旺西拆解報廢。

設計

作為戰時動員型潛艇（日語：Ms型潜水艦）（Mobilmachungsplan）的組成部分，U-51至U-56號批次的技術參數與早前但澤帝國船廠生產的U-43至U-50號大致相同，但在推進力和航速上有所提高。^[8]U-52號的全長為65.2米；舷寬6.44米，當中的耐壓殼體（英語：Pressure hull）寬為4.05米；有3.64米的吃水深度。艇只的水上排水量為715噸，水下為902噸。^[9]

艇只搭載有可在水上使用的兩台猛獅六缸四衝程柴油發動機，總功率為2,400匹公制馬力（1,765千瓦特）；以及可在水下使用的西門子-舒克特（英語：Siemens-Schuckert）雙電動發電機，總功率為1,200匹公制馬力（883千瓦特）。這些發動機用以驅動雙軸、每根軸各一個的直徑1.6米長螺旋槳，從而使艇只在水上的最高速度達17.1節（31.7公里每小時），在水下的最高航速為每小時9.1節（16.9公里每小時）。U-52號可以8節（15公里每小時）的速度在水上巡航9,400海里（17,400公里），或以5節（9.3公里每小時）的速度在水下巡航55海里（102公里）。它的潛航深度為50米。^[8]

U-52號裝備了四具直徑為500毫米的魚雷發射管，其中艏、艉各兩具，並可攜帶合共7枚G6型魚雷。輔助武器為兩門88毫米30倍徑速射炮（英語：8.8 cm SK L/30 naval gun）。其標準船員編制為4名軍官和32名水兵。^[8]

歷史

U-52號是由德意志帝國海軍於1914年8月23日向基爾的日耳曼尼亞船廠訂購。它自1915年3月13日開始鋪設龍骨，同年12月8日下水，至1916年3月16日在首任艇長、海軍上尉漢斯·華瑟（德語：Hans Walther (Konteradmiral)）^[2]的指揮下正式正式入役（英語：Ship commissioning）。在他之後，約翰內斯·施皮思、^[3]齊格弗里德·克拉森（德語：Siegfried Claaßen）、^[4]瓦爾德馬爾·豪曼和弗朗茨·科拉波爾也曾相繼擔任U-52號艇長。^[5]^[6]

服役期間，U-52號在北大西洋東部和地中海總計進行過四次巡邏，共擊沉容積總噸為69444噸的26艘協約國或中立國商船，以及容積總噸為1091噸的3艘輔助軍艦。^[10]此外，U-52號還因擊沉了3艘著名軍艦（排水總量為18471噸）而聞名，第一艘是英國皇家海軍的輕巡洋艦諾丁漢號（英語：HMS Nottingham (1913)），於1916年8月19日在蘇格蘭海岸附近沉沒，共造成38人喪生。^[11]^[12]這也是德意志帝國海軍在8月19日行動（英語：Action of 19 August 1916）中的標誌性事件。^[13]當時奧托·西利亞克斯（英語：Otto Ciliax）是潛艇上的值更官（德語：Wache (Schifffahrt)），他後來成為戰爭海軍的海軍上將。^[14]

U-52號擊沉的第二艘軍艦是法國海軍戰艦敘佛倫號，它於1916年11月26日在距葡萄牙西部90哩（140公里）處沉沒；魚雷擊中了一個彈藥艙引發殉爆，導致該艦在數秒鐘內沉沒，艦上648人全部遇難。^[15]^[16]1917年7月17日，皇家海軍潛艇C34號（英語：HMS C34）成為第三艘受害軍艦，在昔德蘭群島的費爾島對開海面上被U-52號擊沉；其唯一的倖存者也由U-52號救起。^[17]

1917年10月末，在基爾的威廉皇帝運河入口處附近，U-52號因艇艉魚雷艙發生爆炸而在54°20′N 10°10′E / 54.333°N 10.167°E / 54.333; 10.167處沉沒。6名船員在事故中喪生。為此，在基爾北部公墓（德語：Nordfriedhof (Kiel)）設立了一個紀念碑，上面刻有遇難者的名字。1917年10月31日，潛艇被打撈上岸並得到修復。^[18]戰後，根據對德停戰協議的要求，U-52號於1918年11月21日移交英國，並在哈維奇正式向協約國投降。1919年3月3日，英國海軍部以2400英鎊的價格將其售予喬治·科恩（不含發動機），並最終在斯旺西拆解報廢。^[19]
